Grace AND truth.
Perry Noble from Newspring Church: Many people want the grace of God without the truth of God. I want all of God’s grace without any of God’s truth. Those people are what we call hyper-liberals. They think everything’s okay.
Others want all the truth of God without any of the grace of God. And those people are flipping idiots.
Lots of talk lately about getting away from the conservative & liberal labels. There’s got to be a middle ground. And this section from a sermon I happened to catch today reminds me that each “side” has part of the truth. If we all find ways to “reach across the aisle,” then we’ll get much closer to what God intended our world to look like.
